I have relocated. Finally.

Blog EntryDec 2, '08 10:32 AM
for everyone

Since I reckon that most of my friends in NUS are finishing exams soon, anytime this week, I feel that it is appropriate for me to finally unlock those entries. It is not as if that many of them read my entries or not as if I did many things anyway to pass time, but I guess I am so used to making entries private and then, publishing the whole lot of junk later.

Evil me.

On another note,it may not be important but I just feel like saying that ….

“I love my boyfriend truckloads.”

Before I forget, I have been wanting to do this something with Boyfriend and I think it would have to wait till end December or maybe just after I get my results on the 15th Dec which I reckon may even be released way before that official date. Because only that, my mind will be at ease even though I have that small inkling that my results would not be that good. Alternatively, it can also wait until January next year even, since by then, Boyfriend is very near to finishing that course.

The first week since exams finally ended for me was spent entirely with families and of course, dear Boyfriend. Although I only met dear Boyfriend to have a quick lunch together and do some magazine reading together, it was still oh-so-special for me, considering the very few times that we meet.

And just yesterday, plan to go for swimming has to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Was stoning at home when Alin called and asked out to catch a movie, Muallaf, with Kak Rad. Unfortunately, dear Mad has to stay home to do housework since her mum and sis are away. The movie was nice, like any other movie from Yasmin Ahmad, but I would have enjoyed it more if only we could bring in popcorn into the Picture house. But all in all, I enjoyed the movie because I like how it managed to make me sink into deep thinking. Go watch it if you havent. After the show, the popcorns were so irresistible that we eventually bought it. Had a light dinner and gave the dear girl aka Mad at home a call to check if she was alright. And oh no, she was so tired from all the mopping and house cleaning.

Later, as usual random Kak Rad suggested a trip to the Singapore Arts museum, and I was very excited.

We reached at a pretty good timing because there weren’t many people and so what else, but take multi shots pictures. And I was very proud of myself that my camera didn’t disappoint me and that the self-timer shots are quite-near-perfect. It would be perfect if only dear Mad was there. I am sure she would have been very excited at the museum as well. And at the Film gallery, I took this photo to show it off to my mum.

We didn’t finish our rounds since the museum was closing so I bet we are sure to make a trip there again, but this time round with dear Mad as well.

Miss her soo much. Till Thursday, dearies.

Presenting Kak Rad, Nini and Alin

I love random outings,
And i love them.

Monday was extra good because I started the day early and went out with them three for a proper post-exam date. Initial plan to karaoke and bowl seemed too adventurous for the four of us so we finally decide to go for some sing-a-long session and what come later, we shall just go with the flow. This time round, Kak Rad suggested that we try Cash Studio. Karaoke session this time round were a total new experience for us, which I don’t wish to elaborate. But the company made it very fun, and after which a random trip to Toys R Us for some cheap thrills before Kak Rad making a random suggestion to take a cable car trip, and that coming from someone who is so afraid of heights make me just want to hail the taxi and go to HarbourFront Centre directly in case along the way, Kak Rad decides to change her mind. But no, we took the NEL still and upon reaching, Mad suggested the glass cabin and this time, even the three of us plus Kak Rad of cos were all gitters. But we managed a group picture still.

The ride went well, although for a moment I almost froze seeing how high we are from the bottom of the cabin. Ok fine, i made that up. Ilovethethrilleffect. But the highlight for the day will be seeing our dear Kak Rad keeping still throughout the ride with her hands as-if sealed to the edge of the seat. Had dinner and finally do what we do best which is to chill, and so head off to chill by the bay. And of cos, dear me, get emotional since Alin and Kak Rad will be going for holidays. Boyfriend is getting so busy with camp. Sur, Sally and Fady are going holiday too is all goes well. Thankfully, I got Mad with me. Plus Mary and Hally of cos.

And of cos, multi-shots are a must do.

Before heading home, bumped into Noi and Abg Yan and I cant help but feel sad cos I miss my boyfriend so much. I am not sure why I get so emotional these days. I reckon it could be some post-exam syndrome. Maybe yes and maybe no.

But it is during these period that “I love you” seems so much appreciated by yours truly. It doesn’t necessary has to come from dear Boyfriend alone. Because during those mugging session when Mad or Alin just randomly said that, I almost could feel it running through my head. Ok, sorry, bit cheesy. And that day, when I finally leave for school, bid my mum goodbye and received a kiss as usual and it felt so so good. Thank you for being all for making me feel good.

To sidetrack,Boyfriend, come back quick k. The same goes for those going for holidays. Have fun but come back quick k.

Exams had left me with no choice but to skip dance practice at TAPAC and because of that, I couldn’t contribute my part to one event that I would say quite-like-the wedding-of-the-year for my dance peeps since two of my seniors who got engaged a year ago, finally get married. Although it was just a small event at the multi-purpose hall, it was extra special for us at Sriwana because firstly, both bride and groom are my seniors and plus, my head of dance instructors was the wedding planner and oh my, I quite regret I miss the event.

But nonetheless, from the many blog entries about the newly wed’s nikah plus the sanding event plus the dinner and from the tons of photos uploaded by my head of instructor, it is no doubt that it was a grand affair. What more, the bride and groom got escorted by the dancers and the kompang boys and also each of them got a chance to sit on the chair/ raised platform and got lifted to the venue by the Kelana Purba boys. The night before when they have the dinner event, it was grandly themed with each female guest receiving a tiara and the male guest received a stalk of rose instead and of cos, Mr. Wedding planner made great surprises here and there. Highlight will be when the groom sang the bride a song and it was all so honey sweet. The JDI boys even choreograph a hip-hop number for the dinner event. The Sanding event, on the other hand, were made very lively with the much Javanese rituals before the many dance performances from the girls and the kompang boys of cos, not forgetting the kids who had the Javanese dance and plus, Kelana Purba of cos. This is all based on what I heard from the rest and of cos, the tons and tons of photos of the newly wed.

I wish the newly weds a blissful marriage. May all the photos of sweet and candid shot of the couple laughing and smiling be transformed into a very smooth sailing wedded life. Although it was an event not to be missed, I am thankful that at least I missed the event because of exams and not other random reasons.

On another note, the week of the wedding was also the week that I finally ended my examinations and my sweet Kak Rad, Alin and Mad were kind enough to have dinner with me right after I ended my paper at 5pm. Had dinner over at Popeye’s and finally finding a nice spot over at T2 car park for our random antics of many videos and telematch games which shall be kept as memories for sure. It was so fun just to spend our time doing everything else, except studying. It almost felt like I was back to my toddler days. And amidst the fun that we had right there and there, I only managed to spot one photo that is decent enough to be posted here.

Thanks dearies for being the first to date me out right after exams even though I pretty much look like a walking zombie that night.

Studying for examinations this semester was such an emotional ride, and I was glad I had Mad almost 11 hours each day with me to remind me to push myself through this but yet not forgetting to remind me to take a break here and there. Yes, a random sms from her started a series of our mission to study in school from around 9am to about 9pm everyday, and we would have studied all night long if only SMRT offer extended late-night services. I know, the ride to school is totally draining but waking at 7am everyday to prepare to go to school to do some serious mugging sure beats staying at home, getting distracted by the TV and what-nots. Pak Cik Man, who stayed only a few minutes away from school, also tagged along with us for those studying sessions.

As time pass, some other people joined us at the our usual spot to study or simply to have lunch together, which includes Lat, Alin, Leman, Kak Rad and of cos, some other people. It was almost like the same old-people from the so-called MSA and I couldn’t help but yearn for the next floor ball session. Days when the examinations finally kick in, my emotional side kicks in as well, and like Mad, this semester felt like a roller-coaster ride. It doesn’t help that I will be the last to end the examinations, cos it just made me feel oh-so-pathetic. Thankfully, I have people whom I know I can just ring to motivate me which includes call to dear Alin on loudspeaker with Kak Rad and Mad. Boyfriend didn’t forget to ring me here and then to check if I was ok. The same goes for Kak Rad and Alin who would sms me and Mad occasionally, to remind us “ Not to cry, for goodness sake.”

Dear best friend even came down to have a chat with me occasionally and she always find the right time to come down at around 5pm when I am the very most restless. All in all, studying this semester was all done and I hope the results will portray all those hardwork plus the cups of coffee and munchies from bookshop and of cos, the very much MacDonald breakfast I consumed during the study period.

Although I quite like how round I look now, I think I should still lose weight. So swimming and Floor ball session real soon k.

Finally, after almost 4 days of not hearing his voice since he was very busy in camp, I finally got to hear that familiar, calm voice at the other end of the line last night. I am not particularly bothered by the fact that we don’t meet often because ABSENCE makes the heart STRONGER, I say, but not hearing the same voice to end my day can be shitty. SO the past few days was quite heart-wrenching.

And last night, when I finally heard his voice, I was again a happy girl.

And he sang me a verse over the phone. It doesn’t matter that I have no idea what song was it, but the fact the he sang to me, send butterflies fluttering in my stomach.

I like it that he doesn’t mind that I cant meet him tomorrow and always there reminding me to study hard. It is time like this I felt so dependent on him, for that sense of security and calmness and again, everlasting happiness.

I hope you are doing fine in camp, and are happy with your family.

I love you, I really do, and I will see when November ends. Insya-allah.

I have been bumping into dear best friend quite a number of times in school lately, but such bumping into each other has been restricted to only few big hugs and updating each other because it’s either she is rushing somewhere or me rushing elsewhere.

I miss her already. And I don’t say it often, you know. So the fact that I am writing it down, just goes to show how much I miss her. And she ends her exam one whole week before mine and the fact that everyone end exam earlier than me is totally shitty. What more, my last paper ends at 5pm. Dead. On a sidenote, I met my old time primary school friend,Asyik over at the Mussollah during Isyak that day. I couldn’t believe he was in NIE to study when I thought NUS offers better studying ground. MEsti ade udang di sebalik batu. OK,stoppit. All in all, that day, I had a fruitful day of studying in school with both Madi and Alin there to accompany me study as well all the way tilll Isyak, where we got high with Kanye on loudspeaker(still has hangover from the concert) or are we high from “NAsi Ayam with Bandung”? (salivating, wink wink)

And just yesterday, as I was frowning while I walk to the bus interchange, feeling down that I have tons more revision to cover and that I am making my way to school alone, I saw my prospective brother-in-law’s prospective wife,NOI. Okay, that line has to go seriously. We had a finally nice bonding session between us two and talking things out about the recent incident in the family.Yes, we already made plans for more catching up session. Just the two of us, if the two guys aka bf and Abg Yan are busy.

And the fact that Noi just made her way to school together with Abg Yan, make me realise that it has been uncountable days since I last met dear Bf. Tsk tsk. But im doing good.

A totally random post.

Ungu’s concert was equally as good, only that we couldn’t possibly get up on our feet and get high as we indulge in the music like we did in at Kanye since it was at Esplanade and of course, the genre of music that Ungu brings. But, that doesn’t stop us from swaying and tapping the feet as the band sings. We caught ourselves swaying and singing along with Pasha. What more, they sang my favourite songs. But my excitement couldnt beat that of Rash's who were sitting at the edge of the seat throughout. Muka tetap focus. Unlike Kak Rad who didnt really focus till she could actually spot Taufik who were sitting at the upper deck. We got good seats, thanks to Kak Rad who made the booking, cause it was oh-so-near the stage. But, Diyana’s seat(Alin’s best friend) wins hands down. I bet she can touch Pasha’s toes if she wants.

It was funny since earlier on before the show,we were informed that no photography and video recording allowed in the concert hall but just as the band made their entrance, everyone is busy clicking and recording away like nobody’s business. Don’t beiieve, check youtube. This time round, Alin’s friend, Rash tagged along with us and she is so CUTE. As expected most of the audience are decked in purple, and thankfully us four weren’t except for Rash. Music was good, the company was good  but the concert was way too short. We couldn’t believe it ended way too soon and stayed in the concert hall even after 15 minutes has past since the band left stage. 80 minutes performance was too short, and we were glad that we got the tix at student’s rate.

All in all, the bad thing I would say about this two concerts is that, the finale wasn’t as grand as expected. With Kanye leaving the stage so abruptly (too much attitude, luckily, his songs are the bomb) and Ungu leaving the stage after some short speech. Maybe it’s just me, cause I have always expected concerts to end with a bomb like a whole lot of songs songs songs.

And yes, I saw a lot of familiar faces from NIE, and coincidentally dear bestie,Ju is also there. If only I had told her earlier or she had told me earlier, we could have gotten seats near each other.  And of course, new friends made aka Diyana and Rash with respective families. To think of it, Madihah, Azlin and me had introduce our each other’s bestie except for Kak Rad. Hmmm.

After the show at Esplanade, had an again bonding session with the girls till rather late before all of us,went home in express bus and night-rider service. And yeah, it was Halloween night, so I’m pretty glad I got to enjoy some night air.

Now, we have some serious mugging for test and exams to do.

Exams in 11days.

This picture, credit to Julaiha ( If only i had met her that day)

I like this pose of Pasha, sungguh hot dot com.

Again, I like hot round I look.

Ok, not important.

Yesh, two concerts in a week.  The  amount we spent on concerts was all worth it.It was hell, with all of us preparing to finish our assignments well before Wednesday night and both me and Alin prepared for Calculus Test way in advance to avoid the panic later and also, so that we can  go crazy at the concert.

Kanye’s Glow in The Dark tour was  Woo-Hoo. Right after class, had a quick  dinner in school before getting ready and cabbing down to Indoor Stadium.  All set and ready with loads and loads of glow sticks, courtesy of Kak Rad’s brother and pictures taken and getting all pumped up for the concert, but Kanye only made entrance  at 930pm. But for the rest of the 2 plus plus hours, it was non-stop hits. When our favourite numbers was sung, glow sticks went flying around with all of us on our feet. We got pretty good seats that allowed us to groove our way through, although the seats at Black Eyed Peas wins hands down .Sadly, the lighting effects were not as great as Kanye’s Glow in the Dark tour in other countries that I saw on Youtube. During his tour to other places, his concert was way way the bomb with nice 3D effects, smoke effects and lightings.Nonetheless, the lightings at the indoor stadium still manage to  make us high.

Thankfully, I got a lift from Alin’s bro and his gf or else, my legs would have turn jelly in the train. Pictures for the day sum up to almost 300, which includes 1 picture taken with Utt outside the stadium. We spotted Taufik even who got accompanied by 4 bodyguards lah sey . We weren’t lucky enough to have pictures taken with him on that day but I guess, we are fated still to meet him . Well, we saw him again at Ungu’s concert and finally, this time, pictures taken!

PS. I quite like how round I look in those pictures.

Kanye west yesterday was super gd and since my assignments are all done and im left to concentrate on the coming tests and of course examinations for now, I shall again “un-private” my entries.

I have began to feel more comfortable making my entries private cause im free of any obligations to update my entries asap. On the other hand, probably it would have been better if I just stop all these online journals.

Ungu tomorrow.

Happy 57th month-sary LOVE.

I didn’t know I enjoyed that day with them, more than what I had expected. Didn’t really felt like joining them for the jalan raya since all of them will be coming in pairs. Bf report sick in the morning and I was very tired from the nite’s rehearsal. But it has been long since I see them. And believe it or not, I do miss them a lot.

Furthermore, Raudah was kind enough to pick me up. How then can I resist such an offer? It was a day full of memories and reminiscing and catching up on each other., and updating on each other as well.

It would have been so much more fun if he had followed. But it was still fun since syimir was there also. And the fact that I still get to see my bf at the end of the day just completes my day. FUllSTOP.

Pictures now.

We are turning five. Is this for real?

You know i still miss you, girl

Thanks for the ride.

The couple

The next couple, yes, i was the lampost.

Finally, a hai sing group photo.

That day was so memorable. Spending the whole day with you was oh-so-nice. From Masjid WAk-Tanjong to the durian’s haven to esplanade with the initial plan to catch dear Ju performing at the waterfront to a surprise date to watch Kua Etnika’s Love story of the Jazz and Gamelan which caught me salivating cause they are so so good to helping out with rehearsals for the Sriwana’s production.

Need I ask for more then?

Spot dear Ju! I think im the only one who can. (",)

During the Q and A of the Kua Etnika performance

To finally home sweet home

You look nice, very nice that day.

You end my day with a big smile! But they start my day with a big laughter.

After mere 5 hours of sleep, woke up for yet another jalan raya with my sixsome. I couldn’t believe I didn’t tag along in any jalan raya since we were in JC. Am I anti-social or what? But I was very excited for this jalan raya since I miss all of them so because anyhow, breaking of fast was never a full squad. This time, we had car so visitin each other’s houses was such a breeze. I wish I could drive like Surya, who drive with oh-so-much-character especially when someone drift into her lane. Unlike me, who is oh-so-patient in the road, which my dad sees as being a weak driver. All in all, Surya was the pilot for the day. It was nice having to squeeze at the back of the car, getting all cosy.

It wasn’t until Surya’s house that we realise there is a drip. And both me and Sur decide to open to check and after which, staring blankly at the engine. Great. We even tried to check the engine oil level, water level but weren’t sure of what we should look for. Thankfully, Sur’s mum help to check the drip and we were then finally happy for more multi-shot pictures.Sungguh macam paham lah hah.

And when stomach got very full, and eyes got very droopy, and hair become very messy, Sal suggested on playing HEADBANDS which was oh-so-funny and challenging.

With Hally Berry being stress on thinking of an animal which has 4 legs that can be eaten but has never been eaten by us. = Pig ( It doesn’t help when I told her that it tastes like chicken)

With Sur, getting stress out over a bird and saying dodo bird when we already told her that we could eat the bird. = Turkey

With Sally Belly, getting stress out with what box-like figure can be found in the kitchen and almost wanted to give up. = toaster

And me getting stress out on the food that I had eaten on that very day. After rambling on and going down the list on the food that I have eaten like mee goreng, spaghetti and pastry and what not, it was actually COOKIE.

And was Fad even stress out playing the game? She was the winner btw.

We are all so random and I so love it.

Cant wait to meet up with them soon. Hopefully,we could have a small outing before or after exam and hopefully, we will have car again!

Finally some raya updates. On a side note, I am so tempted to re-locate to livejournal. And make it private entries for only my dearies. Or maybe, I should not just blog since I reckon I do not have much time to update entries.

But that aside, NIE MSA (Malay Sport Association) had our jalan raya last Friday since my class was cancelled. Well, don’t ask me how that name came about because I am not very sure. Well, basically, the people who came were those from the countless floorball-cum-captainball-cum soccer session we have had. Not all came because most of them were so convinced that they are too old to attend group jalan raya, or are either too busy in making sure they make it into the national team or simply too busy with relationship commitments.

Plan to set out in mini van after having to source for contacts had to be cancelled since the pakcik got into an accident just 2 days before our rental. So 1 van has to divided into 1 car and 2 bikes and subsequently later, I brought my car. It would have been so much better if we could have all squeezed in a van but nonetheless, Friday was very very fun indeed. It would have been perfect if I didn’t have to make my way to Jurong East with Alin on train. Another round of bonding session and I so love it.

It was kind of an adventure.

With Azrin trailing Ikhwan on bike.

With Yunus tailgating Azrin to ensure her safety from ridiculous horns and dangerous, crazy cars.

With Azrin having to pillion Alin after Kak Rad joined.

With us in the car spotting the 4 of them on bikes checking each other out.

With the emergency brake that cause both A to be almost stuck under the bike. That create a moment where my heart stop. (But both of them are good)

With me trying to assure Ibu that I am a safe driver after that accident involving the two A’s.

With me leading the path to the houses in the east.

With me hitting the pillar on the very last house.

With me forgetting to lock the car after mulling over that small dent in the car

With me finally reaching home at 130 am after sending Fizah and Leman home without any sighting of whitely figures in Bedok.

Surprisingly,I didn’t get any trashing from my parents when I reached home, athough my dad couldn’t wait for next morning to spot-check the car. Everything was fine and just as I was expecting them to “revoke” my license, they didn’t and I am very happy. Using Ikhwan’s line as a reason is really convincing.

I just have to say, “ kalau nak be a good drebar, mestilah ada terlanggar sikit, tercalar sikit.”

All in all, I love them three for being the best driving companion and assuring me if my driving was okay.

Hugs!

Well, finally, I met dearest Bf. And oh my, how much he have grown, both physically and emotionally. He sounded so matured, explaining to me about some serious matter back at home and I couldn’t help but agreeing to my heart telling me that my Bf has grown up. I am so loving it. That day spent was perfect, and we both agree. Even though we didn’t set out what we planned to do, I was more than happy to have him with me. Doing nothing much, but just keeping each other updated with some happenings and walking aimlessly. It made me feel so free.

You know, I know.

And since sun I had wedding invitation to attend to when people are still in the raya-ing mood, I decided to drop by dearest house for raya visiting right after that. Because firstly, I am not sure if I have time to spare to visit the family with my very packed schedule, and secondly, I am not very sure if Hai Sing jalan raya will still materialize yet and lastly, I am already in my baju kurung so might as well head down to his house and arrived just minutes before his relatives came by. Since his parents are busy with the guests, both me and bf were having our own private conversation which didn’t turn out too private since we were talking very loudly. Hah.

But the day was good. Mainly because…

He looks freaking hot with his berms and shirt.

For the first time, his dad talks to me.

I wasn’t totally hopeless since I did help his mum in the kitchen.

Maya’s hair was so freaking nice.

But the day could have been much much better if Maya doesn’t have to accidentally call me Kak Noi (Abg Yan’s gf) countless times. I bet she felt very guilty after that. Silly girl.

Before leaving, his mum reminded me to study hard and not think about settling down so early. And I so don’t know how to react to this type of conversation. But nonetheless, I felt very happy.

Plus, finally, nowadays, mum and dad acknowledges that I have a bf after almost 5 years having to pretend that I am not attached because according to mum, the guy has to have finished National Servce first. Well, who cares. I am in no hurry.

Calculus test was horrible, plus having to take the test on the 2nd day of raya doesn’t help because I couldn’t focus on the questions and my mind went blank. Alin, how?

Nonetheless, right after, dad fetched me and off we went visiting to a few more houses. Yes, on a school day. Finally, this year we as a family are decked in the same colour again. For a record, i still wore the kebaya hat was wrongly tailored to my preference, and i dont look that bad. But still, i still look fat since the kabaya was tailored too short, but who cares.Furthermore, the kain was a recycled piece from the one my grandma got for all the aunts and cousin for another cousin wedding. Its RAYA, anyway.

This year, raya is not really a happy event for me and bro for reasons I don’t wish to reveal here. But rest assured, aside from the negatively sad feelings we both felt, happy pictures still have to be captured.

And we did just that.

Selamat Hari Raya. Kepada sekalian yg mengenali murni, moga lebaran ini memberi lebih sinaran dlm hidup kamu semua. Ampun maaf dipinta sekiranya ada tersalah cakap atau salah laku.

PS: I cant wait to jalan raya with friends. Insya-allah, it will materialize.
